NAME: Florida Xtreme Triathlon
DATE: November 10-12, 2017
DESCRIPTION: A 3-day, 300+ mile, coast to coast triathlon across Florida. This will be a point to point event. Course support will be provided; however, each participant is encouraged to bring two crew members with them for additional support.
COURSE INFORMATION: The courses are currently being tweaked and official course maps and exact distance of each segment will be available in early 2017.
SWIM - Each swim course will be monitored so athletes do not need to bring a support person in a kayak. The swim will start at 7:30am each day and will have a 2 hour cutoff associated with it.
BIKE - The bike course will utilize roads and paved trails. Athletes will bike from the current day's race venue to the next day's race venue. Overnight security will be provided for the bikes. Cyclists are required to follow all traffic laws during the the bike segment as most intersections will not be monitored. The course will be well marked and bike sag will be present. The event will provide and staff several support stations along the course, and participants can also receive support from their support team at designated support zones.
RUN - The run will take place on various surfaces including roads, paved trails, and dirt paths. Support will be offered and participants can also receive support from their team.
ELIGIBILITY: This event is designed for experienced triathletes only. Both individual and 3-person relay team competition will be offered. In the relay team division, the same three athletes must race each day, but are not required to race the same segment each day.
QUALIFYING: All individual participants must show proof of finishing a full or half distance triathlon within the past two years. Relay team participants do not need to provide qualifying information. Race management reserves the right to accept or reject race entries for any reason.
TRAVEL-LODGING: This is a point to point event and all athletes are responsible for their own transportation to and from the start & finish venues. Should there be enough interest, a possible shuttle service maybe arranged between the start and finish locations. Daily lodging is not included in the entry fee and participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging. Shuttle service or ride sharing to and from the daily event venue to select lodging partners may be available. CUTOFF TIMES: The official cutoff time to complete the swim segment each day is two hours after the official start. The official bike cutoff time is 5:30pm each day. The run course will officially close at 10:00pm each night. Athletes not completing the prescribed daily course by the established cut-off times will be disqualified and not allowed to start the remaining events (if applicable).

RULES: The event will be sanctioned by USA Triathlon and all participants must show proof of USAT membership. Additional rules will apply to this event and athletes must agree to follow all race rules when signing-up.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS: The official cutoff date for all refund and transfer requests is September 1, 2017. NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS WILL BE PROCESSED AFTER MIDNIGHT SEPTEMBER 1, 2017.
A registered athlete may transfer his/her entry to another athlete that meets the qualifying standard associated with the event. There is a $100 transfer fee required to complete the transfer.
Partial refunds are available if the request is made in writing by midnight September 1, 2017. Your race entry fee, less a 25% administrative fee, will be refunded within 30 days of your request.
